i'm in the market for a new pair of jeans and wedges. i really like this wash of jeans and nude wedges. i love this look, it's so simple, but so good. i love the oversized cardigan, simple white v-neck, rolled denim, nude wedges, and a farmer's market tote. i will definitely be copying everything about this look.

a side of avocado

i've been eating a lot of avocado lately, which my sisters swears is the best for you. which is guess is actually true. it's supposed to help in preventing aging, cancer, and heart disease. i put avocado on just about everything i eat, and i saw this recipe and it looked delish, and super simple to make.  instead of a poached egg, i think i will make them over easy, and i think i'll put a little garlic butter on the toasted bread. 

ingredients needed:

fresh loaf of bread

1 egg
avocado
cilantro
garlic butter (optional)
sea salt and pepper

sequins, sequins, and more sequins

this sequin blouse is everything and more. the long sleeves, and cut out in the front make it edgy and whimsical. i've been wanting sequin pants forever, j.crew had a pair that i posted about during the holidays, that i wish i would have bought. i think dressing sequin pants down with a basic white v-neck make them such a practical piece that should be in every girl's closet. 

ring bracelet

i'm looking forward to a fun weekend at pride with friends. i saw this photo, and it inspired me to get a chain ring bracelet, and add a couple more rings than i usually wear to recreate this look. i also really love this hat, i posted about a feather fedora i bought 6 months ago, which i wear all the time, and i would love to find another wool fedora in black with a simple design. happy pride weekend!

high heels

i need a new pair of heels, ones that have a little edge to them, closed toe, and i think i'm leaning towards suede. i'm planning a trip to NYC next month (super stoked) and i need some heels that don't completely kill my feet. i love these color block ones in suede, wish i could find something similar before i leave next month.

dip-dyed

i was researching bathroom accessories and children's bedroom accessories for a client, and i saw these stools and new i had to use them for this project. i love anything dip-dyed, but i really love these stools because of the combination of the look of the natural wood and the white dip-dyed paint. i can definitely see them being used in a kid's bathroom, either for sitting or as a step stool.

i posted about these beauties a month or two ago. and i very happy to post that i have them on my ears! my amazing friend picked them up for me the other day, after seeing them on sale at a j.crew store. there still full price online, and last time i checked they were backordered, so when he told me the good news, i was more than excited! their the perfect size and pop of color, can't wait to wear them all summer long. thanks H, you're the best!

i had another weekend filled with good eats. one of my favorite easy snacks to make are sliced french bread with fig spread, fresh blackberries, with a couple leaves of lettuce. although it looks delish with cheese, i would rather add a slice of turkey or chicken breast. bon appetit!

can't live without

this post is much over due, i actually started writing it last sunday night after having an eventful weekend with friends. i feel so lucky to have a handful of friends that i just can't live without. from music concerts, runs on the beach, festivals, dinner and drinks, and pretty much doing anything under the sun, my closest friends are some of the most amazing people i have ever met. last weekend i couldn't have asked for a better group of people to be with (besides a couple of you that were MIA), from brunch, dinner to drinks, a champagne rooftop toast, a street festival, to a walk on the beach, i had the perfect weekend. i wish every weekend could be like this weekend. although i guess is every weekend were like this, weekends like this wouldn't stand out so much and feel so special.

top two things that sparkle

the top two things that i want to put on my neck and wrist, happen to be two things from j.crew. shocker. haha! when the ram bangle first came out i ordered it and was so excited to get it in the mail, but once i got it in person, i though the head of the ram was way too large for my wrist. so, when i saw this mini ram bangle, i was so excited, i haven't ordered it yet, but i'm hoping the ram head is a lot "mini-er" than the original ram bangle. the double strand seahorse necklace, is a summer essential, with glass beads and a jewel encrusted seahorse! i absolutely love the color of the glass beads! these are my top two things i'm lusting over at the moment. 

vegan pesto, avocado, and spinach sandwich

i wanted to try this recipe, although i plan on modifying it a little bit. i don't eat dairy, so instead of using cheese i want to make this sandwich with vegan pesto, spinach, avocado, and a touch of margarine for grilling/browning the bread. cut up into four pieces, this could be such a great appetizer too. YUM!

horns

one kings lane is featuring vellum accessories today and tomorrow, and although i don't own anything that's made out of horn, yet, i love the look of these three pieces. i can see this bowl in a large size being used for serving a salad or using it more for display on a dining room table. everything is made in italy, and i hope these horns aren't actually taken off the animal, and that the horns are either taken from animals that have died or lost their horns? at least this is what i'm telling myself (i can't help that i'm an animal lover). either way, the vellum horn accessories are simply gorgeous.

groovy

i'm completely in love with these platforms, i feel like they're completely channeling the 70's. i want to find something exactly like these, and ideally i would need them in tan and i want them to be sky high with a wooden heel. so perfect for summer!
